科研人员研究了美国上中西部的34个湖泊的气态氮(N2)的饱和度,结果发现来自这些湖的247个水柱样本的85.8%的N2超饱和,这提示了这些湖泊持续向大气释放氮;这组作者说,这些发现提示,湖泊失去N2不足以被固氮所抵消,而且需要陆地氮输入从而平衡氮需求。
