圭亚那的森林保护

科研人员量化了2010年到2015年在圭亚那实施的减少森林砍伐和森林退化造成的排放（REDD+）全国项目的影响，结果发现该项目减少了树木覆盖的流失达35%，这相当于避免了1280万吨碳排放；然而，树木覆盖流失在REDD+项目的碳补偿结束1年之后增加了200%，这提示为森林保护持续付款对于全国REDD+结果具有重要性。
