image: The Neuroscience Information Framework (NIF) is a dynamic inventory of web-based neuroscience resources: data, materials and tools accessible via any computer connected to the internet. As of February, 2011, NIF simultaneously queries 68 curated databases covering drugs, proteins, cells, microarray data, computational methods, antibodies, transgenic animals and much more. NIF allows researchers not only to search for the needle in the haystack, but for needles scattered across many haystacks, with the ease of any internet enabled search engine. This image relates to an article that appeared in the Feb. 11, 2011, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The study, by Dr. Huda Akil at University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., and colleagues was titled, "Challenges and Opportunities in Mining Neuroscience Data." view more
