Resolving a model-satellite discrepancy

Peer-Reviewed Publication

Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences

Researchers report that although many climate models simulate larger-than-observed tropical atmospheric warming rates, a subset of model simulations are consistent with observed warming rates, and further analysis suggests that the discrepancy between modeled and actual warming is likely due to natural climate variability, according to the authors.
