video: MagicMark: a marking menu using 2D direction and 3D depth information A recent study presents a novel marking menu, MagicMark, to extend the selection capability of large screen interactions. By leveraging the 2D direction information and 3D depth information, MagicMark supports smooth freehand gesture to complete menu selection without any additional confirmation gesture. It can also provide seamless transition from a novice user to an expert user. 菜单是用户界面最重要的交互组件之一,人们通常需要使用菜单在交互环境中进行命令探索和选择。在大屏交互的菜单研究中,我们发现了一个有意思的问题,交互空间里非常重要的三维深度信息并没有得到充分利用。

如何将三维深度信息与二维方向信息合理结合,带来更加流畅的交互体验呢?来自北京邮电大学的吕菲博士针对这一问题提出了MagicMark,一种结合了二维方向信息和三维深度信息的新型菜单,来扩展大屏交互的选择能力。相关研究成果发表在Science China Information Sciences 2018年第6期中。

MagicMark支持流畅的连续操作,无需任何额外的确认手势即可完成菜单选择;通过使用三维深度输入,MagicMark也比其他分层菜单节省了显示空间;它还能够支持从新手用户到专家用户的无缝衔接。实验结果表明,MagicMark可以显著提高大屏交互环境下的用户的命令选择性能。
