How Stress Takes a Physical Toll, Explained in Neural Circuits (2 of 2)

video: Former half: A white rat, which had been attacked by a dominant rat beforehand, exhibited avoidance from the dominant (stressor) rat in the small cage (without illumination through the optical fibers). Later half: Active interaction with the dominant rat under the condition with optical fiber illumination in the brain to inhibit the neural pathway from the DP/DTT to the dorsomedial hypothalamus. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the 6 Mar. issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by N. Kataoka at Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine in Nagoya, Japan and colleagues was titled, "A central master driver of psychosocial stress responses in the rat." view more
