The Econometric Society announces the election of 51 new Fellows from all six regions of the world

The Econometric Society is an international society for the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics. The main activities of the Society are publication of the journals Econometrica, Quantitative Economics, and Theoretical Economics, publication of a research Monograph Series, and organization of scientific meetings in six regions of the world.
Election as a Fellow is a recognition of each Fellow’s highly regarded contributions to Economics. Candidates for Fellow are nominated by members, Fellows, and a Fellows Nominating Committee (FNC) and elected by the Society’s active Fellows.
Elected this year are 14 female and 37 male candidates from the following regions:
Africa (3), Asia (4), Australasia (1), Europe (15), Latin America (1), and North America (27).
The 2021 FNC consisted of Dirk Bergemann (Chair), Xiaohong Chen, Itzhak Gilboa, Kate Ho, Dilip Mookherjee, Monika Piazzesi, and Hélène Rey.
