Effects of Mediterranean diet, stress reduction on prevention of small-for-gestational age birth weights

What The Study Did: This randomized clinical trial that included nearly 1,200 pregnant individuals investigated whether structured interventions based on a Mediterranean diet or mindfulness-based stress reduction could reduce the percentage of infants born small for gestational age and other adverse pregnancy outcomes in high-risk pregnancies.

Authors: Eduard Gratacós, M.D., Ph.D., of the Universitat de Barcelona in Spain, is the corresponding author.
