From September 12 to 17, 2022, AFM-Telethon is organizing two international scientific congresses at the Palais des Congrès at Nice-Acropolis: Myology 2022, the 7th edition of its congress devoted to progress in the field of myology and neuromuscular diseases, and mitoNICE 2022, a new event dedicated specifically to mitochondrial medicine. Registration and submission of abstracts are now open for both meetings at the website www.myology2022.org.
MYOLOGY 2022
From September 12 to 15. the 7th international Myology congress from AFM-Telethon, chaired by Elizabeth McNally, director of the Center for Genetic Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, USA, and Shahragim Tajbakhsh, director of the Stem Cell and Development unit at Institut Pasteur in Paris, will bring together close to
1,000 international experts (including researchers, physicians, students, international patient associations, manufacturers and biotechs) to share the latest progress in research and therapies devoted to the muscle, its function and its pathologies. Myology is a rapidly growing field and is at the forefront of therapeutic innovation, as the Myology 2022 congress well illustrates.
mitoNice 2022
From September 15 to 17, 2022, mitoNICE will bring together international experts in mitochondria and related diseases. Chaired by Véronique Paquis-Flucklinger, director of the genetics department at the university hospital (CHU) in Nice, and Valerio Carelli, director of the neurogenetics laboratory at the faculty of medicine at Bologna university, this meeting will showcase the latest breakthroughs in research and therapeutic innovation in the field. A joint session dedicated to mitochondrial dystrophies will connect the two different meetings, on September 15 at 3pm.
