Wijesekera and Shah receive funding for project Securing Softwarization and Disaggregation in Nextg: Call to Disaggregate Trust Management

Duminda Wijesekera, Acting Chair, Cyber Security Engineering, and Vijay Shah, Assistant Professor, Cyber Security Engineering, are collaborating with Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI)-Hub Co-Pl Dr. Aloizio Luis DaSilva on a project titled: "Securing Softwarization and Disaggregation in NextG: Call to Disaggregate Trust Management." 

The goal of the project is to implement and deploy a multi-domain point-of-presence (PoPs) multi-cloud environment OpenStack-SDN-based across CCI Hub and Mason to evaluate VNF security solutions using decentralized trust management and deployed and interconnected across different cloud-environment to support the manufacturing industry use case.

Wijesekera and Shah received $100,000 from the Virginia Innovation Partnership Authority for this project. Funding began in January 2022 and will end in late December 2022.
