New emirates medical journal indexed in Scopus

New Emirates Medical Journal, published by Bentham Science Publishers, has been accepted for inclusion in ScopusScopus is one of the largest abstract and citation databases of peer-reviewed literature that includes contributions from selected scientific journals, books, and conference proceedings.

New Emirates Medical Journal (NEMJ), formerly known as the Emirates Medical Journal (EMJ), an official journal of the Emirates Medical Association (EMA), UAE, is an Open Access online journal. The journal provides readers with updates on the progress being made in the medical profession in UAE. The NEMJ publishes original research, clinical reports, case studies, short research communications, reviews, book reviews, correspondence, and editorials. Each peer-reviewed article that is published in the New Emirates Medical Journal is universally and freely accessible to readers around the world.

Prof Abdullah Shehab serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the journal. He has 25 years of experience in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, and Medical Education. Currently, he serves as Chairman of Scientific Committee in Emirates Medical Association, Vice President of Emirates Cardiac Society and Vice President of Gulf Intervention Society. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, American College of Physicians, European Society of Cardiology, American College of Cardiology, American Society of Cardiac Intervention, and Fellow of the American Heart Association.
