Meeting Announcement

Engineering Conferences International

Applications of enzymes, and enzyme engineering, have been evolving faster than ever. A rapidly growing number of processes and applications are relying on native and engineered enzymes. This growth has been driven by new discoveries in fundamentals of biocatalysis as well as by innovative approaches to tailoring nature’s catalysts to address a wide range of challenges in human health, sustainable manufacturing, and the environment.

The focus of the Conference will reflect the evolving and expanding uses of enzymes and enzyme engineering in emerging areas. In recent years, the repertoire of enzyme function has continued to increase, giving access to novel biocatalytic transformations and processes. In parallel, the enzyme engineering field has embraced the concept of Design-Build-Test-Learn cycle, benefiting from advances in computational predictive, modeling and learning tools and from efforts to accelerate the experimental evaluation of enzyme variants.

After two years of disruption due to the global pandemic, Enzyme Engineering XXVI aims to reconnect members of the community, ideally in person. The meeting will showcase recent new developments in the field through oral and poster presentations from academia and industry. The program is being developed to stimulate discussion while highlighting progress in both fundamental science and industrial applications of enzyme engineering.
