The book “Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Production: An Introductory Textbook” mainly focused on the preliminary knowledge of a small molecule as drug, its use, synthesis and mode faction and production of commercials like ethanol, citric acid, antibiotics, amino acid and vitamins.
The text is written mainly for the UG-level of study of all Indian University for newly implemented CBCS curriculum in a softly manner. PG-course structure of some of the Indian university had also been followed while writing this book. I sincerely hope that this book will serve the purpose of text book of all UG-level students and Teachers in India. The text is covered mainly on the purpose of use of a particular drug, mode of action of the drug in the living system and their available synthesis. In other part, the text is covered mainly on the microbial production. The microbial productions directly or indirectly are of economic, environmental and social importance throughout the world. About the Author:
Dr. Samir Kumar Mandal received his Ph. D. degree from The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, India. He did his Post-Doctoral Research at the City College, City University of New York. . His research field is synthetic development of some medicinally active chemicals mainly based on radical methodology and green methodology, chemicals toxicology and medicinally important fluoro-organics synthesis. He had adequate experiences in GMP and cGMP practices of APIs. and of CRO based pharmaceuticals. He worked as Lecturer at the Prasannadeb Womens’ College, University of North Bengal and prestigious Young Scientist at the Department of Chemistry, Kalyani University. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor at Saldiha College, Bankura University. Dr. Mandal has published review articles, seminar books, proceedings and more than 20 research articles in different journals of National and International repute. He is serving as reviewer of National and International journals. He is a life-member of several scientific associations.
