横浜国立大学の松行美帆子教授らの研究グループは、インドネシアの社会的保護プログラムProgram Keluarga Harapan (PKH)を通じて、貧困層が洪水への対応能力を強化しているメカニズムを、ペカロンガン市のバティック労働者への調査により明らかにしました。社会的保護と貧困層の災害対策の融合の有効性はかねてから国際的に議論されてきましたが、事例を通じてその効果やメカニズムを示した研究は稀有であり、今後の政策やプログラムの融合に向けた第一歩となります。本研究成果は、International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction誌に8月11日付でオンライン発表されました。
