About the Conference

There are more than 200,000 species of plants distributed in the global tropical regions, accounting for more than 60% of higher plants, with extremely rich genetic and functional diversity. Tropical plants have long adapted to high light, high temperature, rainy and biological stress environments, forming a common mechanism of high bioaccumulation and environmental adaptation. Compared with major food and cash crops, tropical cash plants have huge potential for genetic improvement, which can meet the diversified needs of human beings. The era of genomics and multiomics provides opportunities for the simultaneous and rapid development of most small crops. This conference intend to invite global scientific elites to share the latest research progress in tropical plants and cash crops, smart ideas and major scientific issues in the future. The conference will be held every December in Hainan or other places. Focus on the scientific and technological needs of modern agricultural development and ecological environment protection along the Belt and Road, and seek extensive scientific and technological cooperation and academic exchanges. The Tropical Plants academic journal will adhere to the rigorous, pragmatic and innovative concept, lead the development of cutting-edge science and technology in the field, and provide professional services and academic exchanges.

Manuscript Recommendation and Selection ServiceManuscript Recommendation and Selection Service

The 1st International Conference on Tropical Plants will be held from February 8 to 10, 2023 in Sanya, Hainan, China. The conference will collaborate with six, high-level academic journals to provide manuscript recommendation and selection service for participants. Each participant can submit only one manuscript, and each manuscript can select only two journals. The submission and review processing time for selected manuscripts will be drastically reduced and the acceptance rate will be an increase on the standard acceptance rate.

Journal List:

1. Horticulture Research (IF 7.291)

2. Plant Phenomics (IF 6.961)

3. Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics (IF 6.409)

4. Journal of Integrative Agriculture (IF 4.384)

5. aBiotech (ESCI indexed journal, will obtain and IF in 2023)

6. Tropical Plants (A new journal, the first IF is expected to be 4-5)

Submission Process:

1. Access the submission system EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=1stictp), register and log in, click "make a new submission", and follow the instructions on the website.

Note: When filling out the TITLE text box, use parentheses to mark the selected journals ( the serial number is as above ).

e.g.  If Horticulture Research and Plant Phenomics are selected, then the TITLE text box should be: ( 1,2 ) + manuscript title.

2. You only need to submit an extended abstract (with two-three figures), not the full text. The editor will quickly review the quality of the manuscript and provide preliminary review comments.

Manuscript submission deadline: February 8, 2023.
