Revealing the correlation between superfluid density and transition temperature in an infinite-layer nickelate superconductor
Science China PressBy imaging the superfluid density and superconducting transition temperature in an infinite-layer superconductor, researchers revealed a strong correlation between the two quantities. This correlation is quantitatively similar to that reported in cuprate superconductors, hinting at a close connection between the superconductivity of infinite-layer nickelates and that of cuprates.

Multiscale energy conversion and transfer in the middle atmosphere during the 2023 sudden stratospheric warming
Beijing Zhongke Journal Publising Co. Ltd.Using a novel multiscale energy analysis tool, scientists have decoded how energy flows between the stratosphere and mesosphere during the 2023 sudden stratospheric warming (SSW). They found that pressure work acts as a vertical energy bridge, while a process called baroclinic instability consistently transfers energy from large-scale circulation to SSW-scale disturbances. Compared with the 2012–2013 event, the 2023 SSW showed much stronger energy transfers in the mesosphere, highlighting event-specific variability.

Pharmacokinetics, tissue distribution, and excretion of anthraquinones and their glucuronide metabolites from raw and steamed pieces of Rhei Radix et Rhizoma extract in constipation rats
Beijing Zhongke Journal Publising Co. Ltd.In the paper published on Science of Traditional Chinese Medicine (STCM), the authors employed UPLC-MS/MS technology and elucidated the processing principle of rhubarb pieces based on in vivo profile of components. This study comprehensively analyzed the dynamic in vivo changes of prototype anthraquinones and their glucuronide metabolites in rhubarb from the perspectives of absorption, distribution, and excretion. It proposed that processing can reduce the exposure of components, achieve targeted distribution in the intestine, and accelerate the excretion of components, thereby clarifying the processing mechanism of 'raw rhubarb purges while steamed rhubarb moderates'. This provides a solid research perspective for the study of the processing principles of traditional Chinese medicine.

Scientists embed GO-wrapped TiO2 in dental restorative composites for dental caries treatment
KeAi Communications Co., Ltd.Researchers have fabricated GO-wrapped TiO2 (GOx@TiO2) hybrid particles at room temperature by an electrostatic self-assembly process. The construction of GO0.005@TiO2 and the bimodal 1G59B filler as bimodal inorganic fillers is a new approach for achieving high-strength dental composites.

More precise robots: A breakthrough in end-effector accuracy
KeAi Communications Co., Ltd.When robots perform complex tasks, the pose accuracy of the end-effector is critical. However, errors from individual joints tend to accumulate along the kinematic chain, making it challenging to guarantee high pose precision at the end-effector. To address this issue, this study proposes a virtual-constraints-based end-effector pose compensator (VEPC). The method treats the actual angles of specific joints as known inputs and automatically adjusts the remaining joint angles in real time, effectively eliminating the pose errors of the end-effector caused by the joints. Experimental results demonstrate that the method can reduce the maximum end-effector position error by over 75%. Moreover, the method requires no additional sensors, offering low cost and high compatibility.
