The ToF spectra from the natPb sample after interaction with D-D neutrons (IMAGE)
Caption
This figure presents the ToF spectra of neutrons leaking from natPb slabs after interaction with 3.2 MeV D-D neutrons. Similar to the D-T results, measurements were made at 60° and 120°. The simulation-experiment comparison reveals that most libraries offer satisfactory agreement, except for ENDF/B-VIII.0, which significantly underestimates the neutron flux at 120° in the (n,el) region. These results emphasize the value of D-D neutron benchmarks in assessing the performance of evaluated nuclear data for lower-energy scattering processes, which are especially relevant to shielding calculations and fusion blanket designs.
