The ToF spectra from the natPb sample after interaction with D-T neutrons (IMAGE)
Caption
The measured ToF spectra shown here represent neutron leakage from natPb samples following exposure to 14.5 MeV D-T neutrons. Data were collected at both 60° and 120° scattering angles. When compared with simulated spectra generated using four major nuclear data libraries (CENDL-3.2, JEFF-3.3, JENDL-5, and ENDF/B-VIII.0), the experimental results provide a stringent benchmark for evaluating nuclear data accuracy. Notably, overestimations in the (n,el) region and inconsistencies in the (n,inl)D and (n,inl)C regions were observed in several libraries. These findings highlight the need for further refinement of double-differential cross-section data at large angles.
