Large river data were derived from literature (Chen et al., 2022; Négrel et al., 2021; Tipper et al., 2010). The circle size represents the dissolved Ca flux (1010 mol a–1) of each river (Tipper et al., 2010), and different red shades denote the proportion of carbonate weathering to TDS (Gaillardet et al., 1999; Xu et al., 2022).
