Data for carbonate-dominated catchments (Chen et al., 2020; Négrel et al., 2021; Tipper et al., 2010; Tipper et al., 2008), silicate-dominated catchments (Jacobson et al., 2015; Moore et al., 2013; Tipper et al., 2010), and global large rivers (Tipper et al., 2010) were derived from literature.
