A study participant walks on an instrumented walkway wearing the embroidered sensor system while a synchronized 3D avatar reconstructs joint motion in real time using Purdue’s motion-capture software. Pairing the wearable sensor data with motion-capture tracking let researchers correlate pressure and shear readings directly with the participant’s gait.
