University of Chicago professor Neil Shubin has been appointed Senior Adviser to the President and to the Vice President for Research and for National Laboratories. Shubin will work with Marine Biological Laboratory leadership to ensure a smooth academic transition for the new affiliation and help build collaborative programs between the institutions.
