3D GPM Image of TD01

Caption

On April 19 at 0746 UTC (3:46 a.m. EDT) the GPM satellite saw moderate to heavy rainfall over the Atlantic's TD01. Rain was falling at a rate of over 30 mm (1.2 inches) per hour east of center. Highest storms reaching altitudes above 11 km (6.8 miles) were just to the west of the low's center. This is a 3-D image of the tropical depression.
