Fossil tooth of a sambar deer (Rusa unicolor) from the Tam Ham Marklot cave’s fossil assemblage. This species of deer is still found today in Southeast Asia. The area that was sampled for zinc isotope analyses, a long vertical groove, can be seen on the right tooth’s cone.
