コネキシン30を欠損している遺伝子変異マウスは生後内耳内の電位が下がり感覚細胞の脱落により難聴を来す。本研究ではこのコネキシン30欠損マウスに対して、胎生期に細胞移植を行い、数日後、生着と一部の細胞でコネキシン30が発現していることを発見した。
