Caption
Wolfram syndrome is a severe form of diabetes that affects only about one in 500,000 people, but researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis believe finding ways to treat Wolfram syndrome also may help patients with more common forms of the disorder, and they have identified a treatment target that may help prevent some of the damage associated with Wolfram syndrome.
