The SEM image of microrod with pyramid-shaped tops compose of different facets, including polar, semipolar and nonpolar planes. The CL spectrum shows the emission from the QW on the nonpolar plane is stronger than that on the semipolar and polar plane, demonstrating the enhanced confinement implemented by the orbital engineering
