Gentoo penguins forage on a variety of prey, making them more resilient to recent climate-driven declines in a common prey species, Antarctic krill. A flexible diet may be the reason why Gentoo penguins in the Antarctic Peninsula are benefiting from changes in climate and their populations are increasing.
