In vivo tomographic analysis for predicting therapeutic efficacy (IMAGE)

(A) The transplanted Cy5-hEPCs were divided into condensed round shape and spread shape using FMT 3D reconstructed images. The therapeutic efficacy was closely correlated with the shapes of transplanted Cy5-hEPCs on day 0. FMT images of (B) Condensed round shape and (C) spread shape of transplanted Cy5-hEPCs were non-invasively imaged and tracked for 28 days. The Cy5 fluorescence in 3D ROI (3 mm in diameter) of ischemic tissue were calculated based on the fluorescence standard-curve of DBCO-Cy5 at predetermined concentrations (0, 10, 20, 50, 100, 1000 nmol/L of Cy5) with source-detector pair excitation measurements.
