Effects of Inhibiting MMP9 Production in TB-infected Zebrafish (IMAGE)
Caption
The top panel shows a zebrafish larva that has been infected with fluorescent TB bacteria. Single infected macrophages, and macrophages that have aggregated into granuloma (TB tubercles) can been seen. Inhibiting the production of MMP9 (bottom panel) reduces granuloma formation and bacterial burdens.
