A New Twist Toward Practical Energy Harvesting

video: Demonstration of how a twistron harvester could be used as a strain sensor. This type of sensor could be used for things such as monitoring breathing, if sewn into a shirt for example. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Aug. 25, 2017, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by S.H. Kim at Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea, and colleagues was titled, "Harvesting electrical energy from carbon nanotube yarn twist." view more
