image: After the disastrous Tsunami in 2004 the German Indonesian initiative GITEWS was set up to provide Indonesia with a fast and reliable Tsunami warning system. The animation gives insight into the specific tsunami hazard of Indonesia and explains the complex design of the decision support system. The spectator witnesses a virtual tsunami looking over the system operators shoulder when the tsunami alarm is triggered.
