Measurement results of the neutron beam spot: (a) 2D and 3D distribution maps; (b) X/Y-axis projection curves with Gaussian fitting. (IMAGE)
Caption
Part (a) presents the spatial distribution of the incident neutron beam spot, derived from the "ending points" of proton tracks generated by neutron interactions with GEM/organic materials. Part (b) shows Gaussian fits to the X/Y-axis projections: the beam spot diameters are 30.52 mm (X-axis) and 29.43 mm (Y-axis), with relative errors of 1.73% and 1.89% (vs. the standard 30 mm), outperforming previous measurements. The calculated center position (-2.52 mm, 2.04 mm) deviates slightly due to detector calibration differences.
