Actinobacteria TFDB is an integrated database for Actinobacteria transcription factors (TFs). The platform provides a one-stop resource for analyzing TF characteristics, target genes, ligands, and posttranslational modifications to advance microbiology and synthetic biology research.
Researchers have developed a programmable genome evolution platform called RAMPAGE that rapidly generates beneficial mutations in the industrial yeast Pichia pastoris. The technology enabled the evolution of strains that tolerate extremely high methanol concentrations, grow at elevated temperatures, and overcome growth defects caused by glycoengineering. The platform could accelerate the development of more robust microbial cell factories for sustainable biomanufacturing.
Perovskite quantum dots (PQDs)-based near-infrared light-emitting diodes (NIR-LEDs) still suffer from low external quantum efficiencies (EQEs) and severe efficiency roll-off. To overcome this challenge, an ionic liquid-mediated surface reconstruction strategy that simultaneously stabilizes PQD surface and enhances charge transport has been reported. This strategy enables NIR-LEDs achieve a record EQE of 24.8%, maintaining ~20% EQE at a radiance of 10 W sr-¹ m-²—representing the lowest efficiency roll-off for PQD-based NIR-LEDs reported to date.

(ϵ, δ)-Local Differential Privacy ((ϵ, δ)-LDP) ensures rigorous privacy protection for individual users without requiring trusted data aggregator, while enabling accurate statistical analysis of privatized data. Multiple (ϵ, δ)-LDP mechanisms have been developed to deal with data analysis tasks including frequency estimation of categorical data and mean estimation of numeric data. However, the (ϵ, δ)-LDP mechanism for set-valued data analysis has yet to be established.
Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) remains a leading cause of death worldwide. Elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) is a major modifiable driver of ASCVD, and PCSK9 has become an important therapeutic target because it regulates hepatic LDL receptor recycling and circulating LDL-C levels. Although PCSK9-targeting monoclonal antibodies and siRNA therapies can substantially lower LDL-C, their cost and need for repeated administration have motivated efforts to develop longer-lasting and more accessible approaches.
