ELSI to host first PCST Symposium in Japan, advancing science communication across Asia

The Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI) at Institute of Science Tokyo is proud to announce that it will host the PCST Japan Symposium 2025, to be held from 11–13 November 2025. This joint international symposium marks the first time the Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST) Network brings a symposium to Japan, and the seventh conference of the Japan SciCom Forum (JSF).
The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) today announced that registration and abstract submission are open for the ISSCR International Symposium: 20 Years of iPSC Discovery: A Celebration and Vision for the Future, co-sponsored by the Japanese Society for Regenerative Medicine. The symposium will take place 20–22 October 2026 in Kyoto, Japan.
Developed in partnership with the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application (CiRA) at Kyoto University, the scientific program is chaired by Shinya Yamanaka, recipient of the 2012 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), an honor he shared with the late Sir John Gurdon.
The 16th International Congress on Skin Ageing & Challenges will convene on November 11–12, 2025, in Valencia, Spain, uniting top experts in dermatology, skin biology, longevity science, and dermocosmetic innovation to advance skin health research.

Lisbon, October 31st, 2025 — The city of Lisbon has been selected to host the 12th World Conference on Ecological Restoration (SER2027), the largest global event dedicated to ecosystem recovery, taking place in September 2027. The successful bid was led by Dr. Alice Nunes, researcher at the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (CE3C), based at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon.
