Targeted chemotherapy in the abdomen using a technique called PIPAC combined with systemic standard-of-care chemotherapy is shown to be safe, with promising activity for patients with colorectal and appendiceal cancer that has spread to the abdominal cavity 

TTUHSC student researchers recently participated in the university’s 37th Student Research Week, organized by the TTUHSC Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. The event allows TTUHSC students to showcase their research and hear presentations from distinguished national speakers related to the year’s theme. TTUHSC’s Department of Cell Physiology and Molecular Biophysics hosted the 2025 event, and “Let’s Get Biophysical” was the theme to highlight the host department's focus on biophysical techniques, particularly in membrane protein research. 

The University of Texas at Arlington hosted 530 of the brightest minds from North Texas’ middle and high schools last month for the 74th Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair. The fair attracted more students than ever, with the number of participants increasing by more than 25% over 2024. Engineering remains a high-demand field, especially in Texas, where the economy and the population continue to grow.
