The American Academy of Pediatrics will hold its 2021 virtual conference on Oct. 8-11.
On 4-6 October 2021, St Petersburg University is holding the 5th International Forum ‘Russia and Ibero-America in a Globalizing World: History and Modernity'. This Forum is the large-scale expert platform in Russia dedicated to the socio-political and economic processes of Latin America, its history and culture.

The AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG), the largest global HIV research network, which recently expanded its focus to include evaluating outpatient treatment for COVID-19, today announced that Teresa H. Evering, M.D., M.S., a co-lead investigator (with Eric S. Daar, M.D.) for BRII-196/BRII-198 in the ACTIV-2 study of Outpatient Monoclonal Antibodies and Other Therapies, will present data for the monoclonal antibody combination at the virtual IDWeek 2021 conference, taking place September 29 – October 3, 2021.

Megamusicals have often been criticised in the academic world and in the media for their homogenizing tendencies, but increasing academic attention on them is providing us with new insights. In her inaugural lecture at the University of Amsterdam, professor by special appointment of the Musical Millie Taylor will outline the impact of megamusicals on local and national theatres, cities and regions. She will describe how the networks and ecosystems created by megamusicals make many innovations possible. The lecture will take place on Friday, 15 October. Taylor is the first professor in the Netherlands in the specific field of the musical. Her chair was established by the VandenEnde Foundation, in collaboration with the Amsterdam University Fund.
