WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has elevated Arati Dasgupta, Ph.D., an internationally recognized atomic and plasma physicist at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), to the grade of IEEE Fellow. This honor recognizes her contributions to the field of plasma science and her dedication to the broad scientific community.
Four early-career scientists share how they’ve harnessed features of their lives—from music to AI technology—to inspire their career and uplift communities. Each winner receives $10,000 for their science with essays published in the journal Cell
World-renowned stem cell scientists will gather in Kyoto, Japan for the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) International Symposium, 20 Years of iPSC Discovery: A Celebration and Vision for the Future. Professor Shinya Yamanaka, who earned the 2012 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his breakthrough iPSC discovery, is leading the scientific program for the historic event.
