Combined microneedling and PRX PLUS for multidimensional skin quality improvement: A pilot prospective pragmatic study
Journal of Dermatologic Science and Cosmetic Technologyhis study provides the first clinical evaluation of the combined use of microneedling and PRX PLUS for multidimensional skin quality improvement. By integrating objective imaging-based assessments (VISIA® and Visioscope) with patient-reported outcomes, the study demonstrates potential benefits of this minimally invasive approach in improving skin texture, pigmentation, redness, pore visibility, and overall facial appearance. These findings provide preliminary clinical evidence supporting regenerative, low-downtime strategies for skin rejuvenation and highlight the need for further controlled studies to validate the efficacy and underlying mechanisms of this combined protocol.

Coupling between carotid hemodynamics and cerebral blood flow during early simulated microgravity
Beijing Institute of Technology Press Co., LtdWith the advancement of long-term crewed deep-space exploration missions, the effects of the microgravity environment on astronauts' brain function have become an important topic in aerospace medicine. The disappearance of the hydrostatic pressure gradient during spaceflight induces cephalad fluid shifts, which can alter cerebral blood flow (CBF) and are closely associated with visual impairment, spatial disorientation, and cognitive decline. However, existing studies have predominantly focused on the steady-state phase during the middle and late stages of microgravity exposure, with insufficient understanding of the characteristics of CBF fluctuations during the early phase of postural transitions. Moreover, as an indicator of terminal perfusion in the cerebral microcirculation, the coupling relationship between CBF and the upstream hemodynamics of the internal carotid and vertebral arteries has not been systematically investigated. In addition, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) cannot be applied in real time during spaceflight due to its bulky equipment, whereas ultrasound offers the advantages of portability, real-time capability, and radiation-free operation. Therefore, elucidating the association between early macrovascular hemodynamic changes under simulated microgravity and regional CBF alterations, and evaluating the feasibility of using ultrasound parameters as portable predictors of CBF, holds significant scientific importance and application value.

Effects and mechanisms of simulated microgravity on fusobacterium nucleatum and multiomic analysis
Beijing Institute of Technology Press Co., LtdWith the continuous advancement of deep-space exploration missions, the potential threat of microorganisms in the closed environment of space stations to astronauts' health has attracted increasing attention. Fusobacterium nucleatum, as an opportunistic pathogen colonizing the oral cavity and mucosal sites, is closely associated with various diseases including periodontal disease and colorectal cancer. Under extreme space conditions such as microgravity and radiation, the growth, virulence, drug resistance, and metabolic characteristics of microorganisms may undergo significant alterations, thereby increasing the risk of infection for astronauts. However, current research on the effects of microgravity on anaerobic bacteria remains extremely limited, and the phenotypic changes and molecular regulatory mechanisms of F. nucleatum under simulated microgravity conditions have not yet been elucidated, making it difficult to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of anaerobic bacterial contamination and infection risk assessment in space stations.
For principals, not all stress is equal
Texas A&M UniversityAmong 119 Texas principals at public, noncharter K-12 schools, researchers found different patterns depending on where stress originated. The most commonly reported stressors came from their immediate school environment, where principals can be responsible for everything from supporting teachers to making sure the building itself is functioning. Yet those everyday challenges were not significantly associated with work stress, anxiety or depression symptoms.

Integrative Multi-omics and Machine Learning Reveal the Therapeutic Mechanisms of Juanyu-Xiaozhi Formula in Metabolic Dysfunction-associated Steatotic Liver Disease and Hepatic Fibrosis via the AP-1/PPARγ/SCD1 Axis
Xia & He Publishing Inc.Despite the surging global prevalence of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and related liver fibrosis, effective treatments remain limited. While the traditional Chinese medicine Juanyu-Xiaozhi Formula (JYXZF) is used against MASLD, its bioactive components and mechanisms are poorly understood. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects of JYXZF and elucidate its underlying mechanisms of action.
