Want to know your true biological age? A new study in Engineering introduces gtAge, an innovative aging clock built by combining IgG N-glycome and blood transcriptome data with a deep reinforcement learning tool called AlphaSnake. It predicts age more accurately than single-omics models and links biological aging to key health markers like cholesterol and blood sugar, offering a clearer view of how our bodies really age over time.

The event was attended by senior leaders from the Department of Energy; members of Congress; Fermilab, CERN and SURF leadership; and members of the local community, all of whom had the chance to sign one of the steel beams being installed.

As autonomous technologies expand across commercial and defense applications, a major challenge remains: while individual machines can operate intelligently, they often struggle to work together effectively as a network. To address this gap, FAU researchers have received a $2.25 million grant from the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory to develop advanced autonomous systems capable of sensing, learning and making coordinated decisions together in real time within complex, contested environments.
