Congratulations to Prof. Dafna Kariv, Head of the Entrepreneurship–Business Administration track at the Adelson School of Entrepreneurship at Reichman University, on being awarded the Inspiration Award in the ETF New Learning Award 2026 competition, presented by the European Training Foundation (ETF), an agency of the European Commission, to groundbreaking initiatives in teaching and learning.

A research team at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), led by Prof. LI Ping, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Science and Chair Professor of Psychology and Cognitive Science, has found that a brief one-on-one pre-lecture conversation (8–10 minutes) — whether with a human or an AI instructor — improves students’ neural synchrony and learning outcomes.

A total of 221 schools across early childhood, elementary, middle and high school levels have earned Colorado Asthma-Friendly School recognition. This new recognition underscores each school’s commitment to comprehensive asthma management and student health throughout the 2025-2026 school year and connects them to a growing local network through the Colorado Comprehensive School-Centered Asthma Program (AsthmaCOMP), supported by Children’s Hospital Colorado (Children’s Colorado).

The Mount Sinai Health System today announced that Lisa M. Satlin, MD, the Herbert H. Lehman Professor of Pediatrics and Chair of the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Pediatrician-in-Chief of Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, has been named the 2026 recipient of the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology (ASPN) Founders’ Award. The honor recognizes a lifetime of outstanding contributions to pediatric nephrology through research, education, clinical care, and leadership.
