Stress internalization is a significant risk factor for age-related cognitive decline in older Chinese Americans, according to Rutgers Health researchers.
Global burden of immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) declined significantly from 1990–2021, with asthma driving reduced mortality and disability. By 2046, age-standardized mortality and disability rates are projected to drop 74.9% and 41.2%. However, stark geographic and socioeconomic inequalities persist—low-SDI regions face higher death/disability rates despite overall improvements. Females and extreme age groups (children/elderly) remain disproportionately affected. Targeted interventions are urgently needed to address these gaps.
