In Neurosciences fiels, the D’Or Institute for Research and Education (IDOR) is widely recognized for research involving pathologies, from malformations to acquired maladies. The understanding of diseases, however, is not the only focus of the area, which is also committed to theoretical and evolutionary research on the human mind. Understanding why certain feelings exist, or how the brain reacts to music, coffee, or sports are some of the many topics studied at the Institute. Among them, one of the most prominent lines is the one that investigates the human personality in a holistic way, seeking to understand its relationship with cultural, demographic and socioeconomic factors.
