CAMBRIDGE, Mass., January 23 --- Insilico Medicine( “Insilico”) , a clinical stage generative artificial intelligence (AI)-driven biotechnology company today announced the first patient has been dosed in the global multicenter Phase I Trial of ISM6331, a novel pan-TEAD inhibitor developed from Insilico's generative chemistry engine Chemistry42, for the treatment of mesothelioma and other solid tumors. Currently, ISM6331 is the leading oncology program among Insilico's wholly owned AI-driven drug discovery pipelines, which was granted orphan drug designation (ODD) by the FDA for the treatment of mesothelioma.

Acupuncture treatment on the DU channel has shown therapeutic effects for Alzheimer’s disease (AD), but the underlying mechanisms are not yet clear. The purpose of this study was to comprehensively observe the protective effects of acupuncture on different brain regions in AD model mice, providing laboratory evidence for clinical acupuncture intervention in AD.

Using computational models, the researchers studied how the brain’s reward-learning system functions in those with depression, especially among individuals experiencing anhedonia, the inability to feel pleasure. By analyzing dopamine-linked responses, they identified unique brain activity patterns that could help predict who is likely to recover.

Researchers at University of Galway have developed a way of bioprinting tissues that change shape as a result of cell-generated forces, in the same way that it happens in biological tissues during organ development. The breakthrough science focused on replicating heart tissues, bringing research closer to generating functional, bioprinted organs, which would have broad applications in disease modelling, drug screening and regenerative medicine.
